Tough Time
Check out this cover mock-up to the furthest along of three comic projects I am currently devoting time to. This one handles the old-timey-pulpy-boy-adventurer side of my interests. I am taking a break as of page 13 to rest my eyes and hands, so there's no telling when the world might see it finished. I believe I am spending the rest of today working on some freelance design jobs that aren't quite as fun as drawing comics. Fish me luck.

Percentages of Color and all that.
Check out this great article on DC color practices in the 70's from a Neal Adams/Dave Sim interview over at COMICSCOMICSl
"The science of art and the art of science are wonderful things because they don’t mix together all the time, but they mix together a lot and one of the areas where they mix together is the science of mixing colors."

Comicon was super fun, I have so many comics I don't know where to start! I had to intentionally remove myself from the con floor and meet up with my friends again after going crazy in a Silver Age DC dollar box. Here are some of the highlights...

See that blurb on the Strange Sports Stories cover? The one about the odd little man? That story contains one of the most insanely weird scenes I've ever seen in a comic. How does someone even come up with that and present it with a straight face? A special kind of genius!
My art show is up in Ballard for two more weeks. Check it out, kay?

I am about half way through working on this comic, so I thought I'd post something from it. i am happy with how it's turning out. This one is 22 pages. If you go and see my currently hanging art show, you will see more of these guys.
